A Confidence Bronze Sculpture, Signed August Moreau Statue

"A Confidence," signed by famed sculptor, Louis Auguste Moreau, depicts a little boy and girl sharing a secret.
This statue was cast in bronze with a rich deep chocolate patina after the original sculpture, which dates from about 1900. This charming work of art is in very fine condition, exact age is unknown. There is a mahogany base on this heavy weight and finely detailed sculpture.
The Moreau family of sculptors was renowned around the world for their naturalistic and graceful sculpture. Louis Auguste was born in Dijon, France in 1855 and died in 1919. He studied with his father and uncles, also at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.
Size is 17" tall, 10" across and 8" deep.
