August Schatz founded this company in the mid-1850s in Triburg, Germany. It was first known as Jahresuhrenfabrik A.G. But in 1923 it changed to August Schatz & Sohne. They produced barometers, mechanical clocks and quartz electric clocks.
The company struggled to compete in the early 1980s and eventually closed its doors in 1985.
