Good metal with a nice polish. Rear plate marked with the Imperial Manufacture of Chatellerault with hallmarks. Barrel with short sides then round with the marking of the model on the tail of breech, the punches on the sides. Ring cap with anchor, trigger guard and mouthpiece with its brass flange. Belt hook with punches and rod. Beautiful walnut stock with splits on each side. Interesting and rare piece from the Second Empire.
